Overall Satisfaction with Blackbaud Financial Edge NXT
I use Blackbaud Financial Edge NXT for research, drill-ins, and budget adjustments. This product is not robust enough for our complicated agency.
- Budget adjustment and manual budget entry
- Drill does and specific data
- Some reports are nice
- THE DASHBOARDS are horrible. Very limited, not user friendly for set up and not robust enough for the many many grants we have.
- The information is incomplete and does not have all program and project ID as FE does
- Love to see ALL the reports that FE has in FENXT. Not even close
- I want to use the dashboards but can not get the build to unique specifications
- Drill downs are great.
- It takes more time to pull reports, the reports can not provide details and summary so two reports are needed instead of one report as the old product has.
- FE next can not perform allocations within the system. Now all our allocations to distribute pooled expenses to various grants must be done manually. That has delayed our month end close to three weeks instead of 5 days.
- What we saved in software applications we had to pay for in man hours.
All three of these applications can do internal calculations such as fringe pool allocations, payroll allocations, and facility allocations. NetSuite ERP has a great budget-building tool to create budgets within the system instead of just inputting data to project and object codes. Deltek Costpoint can do "what if" allocations within the system.
