Overall Satisfaction with Blackbaud Grantmaking (formerly GIFTS Online)

We use Blackbaud Grantmaking to manage our philanthropic giving and corporate sponsorship process. It is used directly by various departments at the company.
  • Improves Efficiency
  • Improves Data Integrity
  • Ease of use
  • Reporting can be a little clunky when you're building advanced or highly customized reports
  • Would like to be able to automate queries
  • Would like to have "branching" ability on applications
  • Reduced administration time on grantmaking
  • System paid for itself in first year staff savings during the first year of usage
  • Continue to generate positive ROI
Also looked at YourCause, Benevity, JK Group (Now part of CyberGrants), Good Done Great, CauseCast and probably a dozen others.
The software is well suited for any corporate or Foundation client. Offers high amount of scalability, flexibility and will dramatically improve efficiency especially if you're coming from a paper based model. Easy to use and understand basic operations.

As long as there is continued development in the product allowing us to create efficiencies, streamline operations, deliver on our reporting requirements and the usability for internal and external partners remains strong we would have no reason to look elsewhere from a systems perspective. If costs changed substantially we'd have to look at different options to meet our cost savings objectives.
