Overall Satisfaction with CCH® SureTax®

Our company is in 22 states so we were struggling to keep up with all the tax additions, deletions and changes. Suretax has helped us not have to worry about that and we now just implement whatever taxes we get back from Suretax. We also have Suretax interfacing with our billing system so that applicable taxes and fees are getting passed through on our bills to our customers.
  • communication of tax changes are sent every month.
  • tax quoting system is convenient and user friendly to an extent
  • The people we work when issues arise are always as helpful as they can be
  • In my opinion, the productivity website is clunky and limited. It's better than it used to be but still needs lots of work.
  • It seems a little too difficult to get an answer when sometimes all I need is a quick what taxes apply in this area.
  • In my experience, sales people are WAY TOO PUSHY. They need to understand that us users aren't always the decision makers and that there can be 3 levels of approval that the "negotiations" have to go through. So getting pushy and frustrated with us users is not the way to get the service agreements extended.
  • Streamlined compliance
  • definitely saved us time and resources.
  • Billing interface has definitely improved billing accuracy and saved numerous billing adjustments
NA - again never used another tax system

Do you think CCH® SureTax® delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with CCH® SureTax®'s feature set?

Yes

Did CCH® SureTax® live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of CCH® SureTax® go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy CCH® SureTax® again?

Yes

I have been using Suretax for 3 years and I still struggle to get answers to some questions. For example, if I need to know what the sales tax is in Denver, CO. I have no idea how to find that out in Suretax, without a specific zip code and trans type code. Versus, every time I do a google search Avalara comes up with my answer. We have also struggled with somethings are taxable one month and then the next month it isn't taxable, but we are unable to find a reason as to why that is without putting in a ticket and waiting several days for someone to answer our ticket. This seems a little clunky to me and I don't have time for clunky.
