Overall Satisfaction with ChowNow

We use ChowNow to sell in house made snacks to the public. Per day we receive 20-40 customer orders of either in store pickup or local delivery (facilitated through DoorDash). The platform helps us connect with more customers, receive more orders, all at a much lower cost than other "3rd party ordering platforms"
  • menu updating
  • receiving customer data
  • adding photos to our menu
  • submitting refunds/adjustments to customers
  • provide more visibility into the delivery driver status (i.e. map of delivery driver, name, phone number of driver)
  • ability to easily download order information (top selling items, orders by time of day analysis
  • ability to see metrics online on the ChowNow portal
  • ease of updating menu items
  • ability to select prep time
  • ability to add photos to menus
  • thousands of dollars a year in saved commission costs
  • countless hours of less time spent on the phone with 3rd party apps trying to request refunds, etc
  • thousand of customer's data points (address, email, phone)
I push customers toward ChowNow instead of the references apps because of a) ChowNow has lower commission costs b) ChowNow gives customer data access c) ChowNow allows me to better issue refunds or adjustments. ChowNow however does not provide as much visibility to "new" potential customers. This is just my guess -- there are less average users on the ChowNow app on a nightly basis vs. the UberEats, DoorDash, Grubhubs of the world.

Yes

Did ChowNow live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of ChowNow go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy ChowNow again?

Yes

ChowNow is very well suited for restaurants and cafes. Its a very strong competitor to "3rd party apps" like UberEats, DoorDash, grubhub, etc. so if you use any of those -- look into ChowNow. It may be less appropriate for fine dining establishments were timing (of delivery driver; or customer pickups) is extremely important to preserve food quality.
