Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Nexus Dashboard
We use Nexus Dashboard and NDI for multisite provisioning and management of our ACI fabrics. NDO allows us to have a centralized configuration controller that is called by in-house automation to deploy network policies. NDI allows our smaller team to see all aspects of the DC much quicker than looking through the APIC. NDI integration with NDO also allows less experienced associates to better understand and consume multi-site technology.
- Easy to add sites
- Upgrading the cluster has gotten better from what it use to be
- fairly easy to stand up
- NDI service takes exceptionally long to enable and is very finicky on whether it will fully enable
- Day-0 configuration for NDO is extremely dependent on how things like multi-pod we setup on a specific code level - this caused us a lot of pain in getting our prod fabrics configured for multisite
- faster upgrade process for physical nodes
- It's had a very positive affect on associates being able to consume multisite
DOM and anamolies allow us to quickly identify where issues are present in the network. The TCAM manager is a great feature to locate contracts that haven't been used and where TCAM limits are being reached.
It's helped less experienced associates consume ACI and multisite.
