Overall Satisfaction with Clarizen

Clarizen was used in my time as a college student in a project management course. I was assigned a team of students and our team was asked to manage a project using Clarizen. It was selected by the professor to be used after direct comparisons with competing project management software.

Pros

  • Easy to use.
  • Easy to assign roles and tasks.
  • Easy to change projects based on interconnecting tasks.
  • Great looking Gantt charts.

Cons

  • Multiple projects should be easier to sort through and keep track of.
  • Allow for specific people to be able to alter specific things instead of giving control only to PM (Ex. One user assigns budget, one user assigns tasks, etc.).
  • Make it easier to customize project screen.
Clarizen is miles ahead of MS Project in terms of ease of use and connectivity. It also provides for changes to be made along with dependencies in a much simpler fashion.
I believe Clarizen would be helpful in every scenario in which project management is needed; as long as an internet connection and computers are available to all employees.
