Overall Satisfaction with Cofense Vision

[Cofense] Vision is an effective solution which goes hand in hand with the other solutions from the Cofense Suite (PhishMe and Triage). Coming from an organization which handles extremely high amount of mail traffic, it is a tedious task to remove the spam/phishing mails by oneself from exchange server. [Cofense] Vision automates that activity serving as a perfect solution from Email security.

Pros

  • Auto quarantine for phishing mails
  • Auto quarantine for SPAM mails based on rules made by analyst
  • Detailed analysis on the original mail reported by the user

Cons

  • Journaling from exchange is a little difficult to set up
  • Access management to the non admin users can be improved
  • UI is too primitive and can be improved
  • Good ROI as quarantine from mailbox is automated
  • Works super well with other Cofense suite so a must buy with Triage and PhishMe
  • Less number of tickets raised by the SOC team remove the mails and increased effieciency of analysis

It is well suited in environments where there is a high mail traffic to handle. [Cofense] Vision basically journals the exchange server and keeps a copy of the mail received in the environment. Really beneficial to revoke and quarantine the mail reported by one user, but footprint is there in other mailboxes as well. Less appropriate in the cases where there is no proper segregation of duties within the organization. As it is possible to see contents of the mail. Only authorized personnel should be able to use it.
