Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Conductor helps us get to know our audiences better so that we can create useful content addressing real concerns and questions. We are better able to research topics of interest to our audience, research competition, monitor our progress, and report on results. We have grown our organic market share and increase organic traffic since starting to work with Conductor in 2021. Also, our entire Marketing team is much more knowledgeable about SEO than we were before Conductor. I describe Conductor as the SEO tool to help you level up.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Keyword research (includes related terms, types of terms, high ranking pages, search volume, and more)
Content guidance and briefs (you can use built in tools to get specific optimization steps and create content briefs within the tool)
Competitor research (compare how competition is ranking and track organic market share)
Support (dedicated team support, regular check-ins, built-in requests for deliverables/support items, options for requesting work with partner organizations, excellent training materials, and live chat within the platform)

Cons

Backlink tracking/reporting (would like to see backlinks more easily and maybe backlink opportunities if possible)
Custom content briefs (right now I move the brief from the platform version into our own in-house Word doc template because it is more detailed. Would love to be able to customize the brief that is set up within Conductor so that we can do it all in one place.)

Support Rating

Conductor support is truly outstanding. From the live chat built in to the platform to the comprehensive training and learning resources, I never feel that I am on my own to answer a question if I need help. Part of using Conductor is always learning, and that makes it a great benefit to our team. We also have dedicated team members working with us on longterm strategy and planning to make our work more successful over time. Conductor support is highly valuable and one of the best parts of working with Conductor.

Alternatives Considered

Moz Pro

We used Moz to introduce SEO to the organization. Once we had executive buy-in, the natural next step was to move to an advanced enterprise platform. Conductor offers an easier interface and more options in terms of competitor analysis, reporting, support, research, content guidance, technical SEO, etc.

Likelihood to Recommend

Conductor is a great tool for helping you make the case for SEO and for helping you grow/level up SEO efforts. If you have no team ready to take on the work required to optimize your website (and deal with technical issues), you may have a harder time with Conductor because you will get a high volume of insights that require action. If you will not have an SEO team, then look at whether you will have resources to take advantage of Conductor's many Marketplace offerings (in which case you can supplement your team with outside help).
