Conductor: High Quality, Unlimited Value for Improving SEO & Process
Overall Satisfaction with Conductor
Conductor helps us get to know our audiences better so that we can create useful content addressing real concerns and questions. We are better able to research topics of interest to our audience, research competition, monitor our progress, and report on results. We have grown our organic market share and increase organic traffic since starting to work with Conductor in 2021. Also, our entire Marketing team is much more knowledgeable about SEO than we were before Conductor. I describe Conductor as the SEO tool to help you level up.
Pros
- Keyword research (includes related terms, types of terms, high ranking pages, search volume, and more)
- Content guidance and briefs (you can use built in tools to get specific optimization steps and create content briefs within the tool)
- Competitor research (compare how competition is ranking and track organic market share)
- Support (dedicated team support, regular check-ins, built-in requests for deliverables/support items, options for requesting work with partner organizations, excellent training materials, and live chat within the platform)
Cons
- Backlink tracking/reporting (would like to see backlinks more easily and maybe backlink opportunities if possible)
- Custom content briefs (right now I move the brief from the platform version into our own in-house Word doc template because it is more detailed. Would love to be able to customize the brief that is set up within Conductor so that we can do it all in one place.)
- Improved search rankings
- Improved SEO and content reporting
- Driven more organic traffic to website
- Improved proactive planning/ consumer-oriented strategy
- Improved SEO skills across team
We have integrated Google Analytics with the platform, and we regularly use this data to report on content performance. We report on traffic and goal data alongside search rankings and organic market share. This integrated reporting allows us to look more comprehensively at content performance and user behavior.
Our content team crosses multiple teams with varying roles and skillsets. In the past, SEO was seen as merely a function of the web team. Our entire team is now trained in Conductor and expected to incorporate SEO into all content projects. We also look at research as the backbone to planning our content strategy and calendar. This has changed how we work and helped us work more efficiently.
We use the explorer feature to research all content topics across channels. We also regularly report to executive leadership across the health system on what consumers are interested in and what they're asking about in terms of healthcare topics. Most service line leaders have shown great interest in the insights available from Conductor, including what words people use to talk about various topics, types of content, opportunities to capture organic traffic, etc.
We used Moz to introduce SEO to the organization. Once we had executive buy-in, the natural next step was to move to an advanced enterprise platform. Conductor offers an easier interface and more options in terms of competitor analysis, reporting, support, research, content guidance, technical SEO, etc.
