Overall Satisfaction with Conductor Searchlight
As a member of the SEO department, I use Conductor across client accounts to monitor keyword visibility, find keyword positioning opportunities, understand the search results for specific keywords, and to work to improve organic performance by implementing the information found in Conductor into actionable strategy initiatives. This helps us address content gaps, find new opportunities for service pages and content, and increase visibility based on high-volume search terms.
- Allows you to compare keyword performance throughout time periods to see overall progression, or progression over a shorter period of time (helpful for newly launched initiatives to measure performance).
- Viewing the search results for keywords. Allows you to monitor where your client falls within the search results and view and analyze how the competition is leveraging the keyword in their site. This helps with next step strategies.
- Separates out answer box performance. This is something we've had many clients interested in so it is a clean way to report out on success in gaining these positions and we pair this with viewing the search results of a keyword.
- Updating performance more than weekly. This would be interesting for seeing quick impacts of an initiative or if you wanted real time keyword performance.
- Conductor has increased reporting efficiency. I use it to understand the keyword progression and find areas of opportunity to work on with future initiatives.
- Understanding striking distance keywords has helped to form efforts to improve visibility and positioning for the selected keywords.
The data matches with other platforms data and information. I can trust that Conductor's analysis of keyword performance will match anything I look into in Google Analytics or other Google Webmaster tools. It is important that content and SEO strategy are based off of reputable data and information because if they do not then the strategy will not translate into positive growth and increases for a client. All strategy my team creates is based off of data and how that data is showing these actions will be beneficial to the client.
Conductor is used to find areas of opportunity for content ideation. We take the keyword information, striking distance keywords, and keywords with high-volume and use those words to formulate relevant content for clients. By understanding what keywords are important we can use that information to support their performance with content. By viewing the search results, we can see how others are leveraging content around these keywords and improve our use.
Conductor has a more user friendly interface and provides more information and more relevant information to problems I am looking to solve for my clients.
