Overall Satisfaction with Ebix SmartOffice

we use it to onboard new clients and to maintain their financial profile. Ebix Smart Office is compatible with our trading and account opening platform. We also use it to track activity related to account opening and supervisory oversight. On average we use the product for at least an hour or more per day.
  • Allows all of my customer data to be aggregated
  • Provides for nearly seamless account opening
  • It is a good software package for correspondence and activity tracking
  • The interface could be more user friendly
  • Some of its functionality is hard to use and/or hard to find
  • There are alot of field that we do not use that do not appear to be able to be deleted
  • It can sometimes be difficult to add new functionality
  • We are all using the same system
  • Everyone is required to be correspond in a uniform matter with SO
  • We have been using it for so long there is great familiarity with key processes
  • For the money, it is a well priced CRM
  • The best thing I can say is that it has not had a significant negative effect on business
  • The familiarity with the product by all employees lends itself well to continuity and cuts down on errors.
While we have considered making a change we did not see the merit in considering any other companies. Additionally, the pricing is so attractive it is hard for other companies to compete for our business. At no point in the last 10 years have we seriously considered making a change.

It is excellent for account opening, document aggregation and storage, tracking and correspondence. It is lacking in its interface and is often not intuitive or user friendly. I have had difficulty running specialized reports in the past and have had to call customer service for issues that should be easy to solve on one's own. There sometimes be a tremendous delay when interfacing with other programs like Microsoft Word.
