Overall Satisfaction with EMS Software
EMS is being used by both conference services and academic room scheduling .
It is also being used by the OTS department to assign services to to various bookings
Currently event service and academic scheduling are in separate offices, but we do work together to assure the rooms are assigned to the right class and person

Pros
- Quick and easy room change. This is valuable for support personnel, who don’t necessarily need to know all the details, but just how to find a satisfactory room in a hurry.
- It does a good of of detailing basic room usages and translating this into a report. It’s not a pretty report, but functional
- When it works it works...it is quick and once it is published, it’s pretty easy to manage. Good Dashboard and I like that the notifications are easy to locate and respond to.
Cons
- Reporting functions are basic and serviceable, but they could be easier read if all the “junk” spaces could be removed.
- Automatic or Manual update, I have used both, because sometimes the Automatic update doesn’t always work. That it is not always dependable shakes my faith in EMS results.
- A simple set of instructions alongside the detailed instructions.
- EMS Academic Room scheduling has removed some barriers to the “Hogging” of room space.
- The negative is that sometimes the same people that should be involved with the process step away to let the room scheduling be more automatic.
