Overall Satisfaction with EveryAction

We use EveryAction as our CRM, and made the transition from Action Network in the beginning of 2020. The entire organization has been trained to use it, as well as some of our volunteers and hubs. It helps us keep track of our members and donors, and the interactions we've had with them over time. It also handles our email program.
  • Keeps everything in one place for our members and volunteers.
  • Custom fields allow us to include information specific to our organization.
  • The automated reports are helpful for our teams.
  • We have a lot of duplicates in our system because EveryAction's matching feature is not very good.
  • The system is not user friendly for non-power users. Our organizers have had trouble using the basic features, like bulk uploading and list pulling.
  • Customer support can be slow to respond to bigger issues.
  • Huge improvement in our data tracking. Teams are able to have a better understanding of what is going on across the organization because everything is kept in one place.
  • Increase in the number of people engaging with our online actions.
EveryAction was a huge step forward from our previous CRM (or lack thereof). The implementation process was overall pretty good, however our team did most of the uploading and mapping of fields. We worked with their support team on how different fields worked in EA, and then made the final decision on how we'd use them. If you are migrating from a different CRM, I would recommend having someone on staff who has done this type of migration before or hiring a consultant with EveryAction experience.
We haven't had much trouble with EveryAction's uptime. There have only been a handful of times that it has been down in the year that we've used it, and in those times it is back up in a couple hours. The reason I gave it a 7 is because their support can be slow to resolve problems. If the question is not a quick answer, then support tickets can take around 4 business days to get a response.
We haven't been using EveryAction for our fundraising and digital marketing, but it has helped us track our organization's online actions better. Organizers are able to create online actions easily and then all of that information is tracked in EveryAction seamlessly. It would be nice if EA had the ability to do joint petitions with other organizations and send out automated Reminder texts for events. We use different services for those options.

There are not many options for progressive political CRMs, and in our research it seemed like EveryAction offered the most features that we needed.
There are not many options for progressive org CRMs, and EveryAction seemed to have the most features of all the ones we researched. It can be difficult to train everyone up on it, but having it over the past year has greatly improved our data tracking and analysis. It is not that customizable out of the box, but they have worked with us to build some custom pieces needed for our org. However, their support has overpromised on what options were available.
