As stated previously, I have set up Bonterra Development + Digital for at least 4 organizations. In addition, I have recommended Bonterra Development + Digital to at least 5 other organizations. In my opinion, Bonterra Development + Digital is the best tool for smaller organizations and those new to CRMs and donor tracking. I have found the implementation process to be very efficient and the implementation staff to be very easy to work with.

I was not working at my organization when they adopted Bonterra but from what I've heard, the process was fairly straight forward and does not seem to have had a negative effect on the data when it was transferred from Salsa to Bonterra.

We had some issues in the transition. The group that was contracted by EveryAction to transfer our data was not adequate. Information was misplaced, and everything took longer than it was supposed to. However, our personal EveryAction rep was fabulous, and eventually, they made everything right, including giving us some additional time with the rep.

EveryAction was relatively easy to learn and understand. There are a lot of features available with EveryAction and you don't need to understand them all to be able to effectively use the software. Many employees within our organization use EveryAction with varying levels of and depths of understanding.

I expected more. We made the decision not to transfer data from my old system into EveryAction, starting fresh and new. But when we have sought assistance, it is rarely given. We are most often directed to the training videos. That component I will add, is very frustrating and upsetting.

I was not in my current position during that time period. I can see some errors in the conversion process in looking at how we coded donations, but that may be because current best practices had not yet been established.

Our implementation of EveryAction was pretty smooth. We had access to great trainings and step by step guides. It only took about two months to be comfortable doing most of out tasks in EveryAction. Our staff team identified a great group of people to get access early so they could help train the rest of our staff team later in our implementation phase.

In my experience, this is perhaps the weakest area for EveryAction support. Almost every migration seems to involve significant unexpected delays at best, with worse cases including data loss, and even loss of recurring donation income. Some responsibility should fall on us to organize our data and articulate our needs as clearly as possible. But if a tool like EveryAction is going to try to cover nearly every aspect of online organizing, I believe its support should scale accordingly so that it can cover most of a migrating organization's online needs.
