Overall Satisfaction with Forcepoint Web Security
Forcepoint Web Security is being utilized in our environment as a proxy and content filter. We use this to filter website categories across the many groups we have in our organization. This includes protocol, file extension, and keyword filters. The software also gives us some solid alert data when employees encounter risks on websites that are not yet categorized.
- Dynamic threat recognition
- Diverse ways to deploy the product
- Reporting was an issue in the past. New report builder features have improved upon this
- Realtime Monitor works well but can sometimes become non-responsive
- Detection of threats on the fly with Forcepoint has saved us countless times.
- File extension filtering has stopped our less-educated customers from installing malware.
- Cisco IronPort Web Security Appliance and Symantec WebFilter (formerly Blue Coat)
We have used many content filter devices in the past. None of them seemed to cover (at least at the time) the sheer amount of features that Forcepoint has for us. The cost of Forcepoint seems to be (again, at this time) under the cost of all the competitors we have installed or tested in the past.
