GeoSurf Review
Overall Satisfaction with GeoSurf
In our department GeoSurf is used as a VPN to test foreign user accounts for localization purposes. This helps ease the localization process as many of our products are released worldwide in many different countries. It is currently only used by one department but that could change in the future, as our department heads see changes in the industry.
Pros
- More than 120 locations of choice.
- Better than VPN because they have actual servers in the locations.
- More than one IP can be used per mobile device.
Cons
- Expensive monthy cost.
- Really only fit for large to mid sized organizations.
- No individual plans for independent/small businesses.
- Using geosurf to see that ads are properly deployed in their respective regions.
- Circumventing certain geotargeting by using proxy.
- Ability to test foreign user accounts to see if they work properly.

Ease of Use – Undoubtedly, one of the interesting features about GeoSurf is its ease of use. Installing the toolbar is simple as 1-2-3, and it is available for major browsers like Chrome, Firefox and IE. Once installed, you log in, select the location you wish to “virtually be at” and start surfing as if you where there. This is achieved with just one click. No annoying ads, very fast and secure.
GeoSurf operates their own server throughout many data centers distributed around the globe. They boast a high level of reliability and security, so much so, that they legally bind their agreements to ensure that search history or any other data will never be released or used for any purpose.
