Gusto Support

From my experience, we got a late fee from the IRS because one of our payments for the payroll was late. This is all handled by Gusto our payroll company.

I was on the phone with the IRS back in January and they confirmed that the payment was late and we needed to pay the late fee which was $692. I talked with Gusto and they said this was their fault and that it was paid. I called the IRS again and they told me it wasn't paid.

I kept on contacting Gusto but I kept on getting the same robo response everytime saying they paid it. It was literally the same message everytime.

In my opinion, I feel like they lied, they didn't pay it until I kept on contacting them and telling them I called the IRS and it hasn't been paid.

So finally I get an ID number of the payment and one customer support guy told me it was paid on April 8th, so I needed to wait at least 10 days for this payment to go through to verify this with the IRS.I just got off the phone with the IRS (this is the 4th time calling and being put on hold for around 2 hours), and it has been paid.

Countless hours on hold with the IRS, talking circles with Gusto, and it is finally paid. This was the worst customer service in my life and I wasted countless hours of my life dealing with this issue and customer support that lied to me.
