We have used IBM FlashSystem 5000 as storage device for our data protection solution provided by a third-party vendor. It was used in a high-availability environment for backup of all servers and some of the client systems in our company. With the speed of a flash array behind a data protection solution, we have gained a lot of speed and flexibility when it comes to restoring business-critical applications and data.

As IBM FlashSystem 5000 array was combined in a package with the data protection solution, there was not an option to choose and compare only the flash storage array with other vendors. But as IBM is well known on the market, there was not really the need to do this.
