Overall Satisfaction with Lifesize Video Conferencing
We connect attorneys with deponents across the country and in some cases, internationally. Using it in the legal industry, primarily in 'court reporting' or 'examinations before trail', we've found that many witnesses, or deponents, sometimes move away from an area they have a pending, unsettled case. Attorneys often have to arrange travel, lodging and coordinate the best time to visit with the witness to take their testimony. Video conferencing through Lifesize eliminates the need for costly travel and is easy enough to use that a witness can join a meeting as a guest through their laptop or mobile device. This has not only saved our clients time and money, it also saves them from logistical headaches. One case of particular interest was when a witness was completely unavailable due to a very strict and arduous traveling schedule. Our clients we able to see and speak with the witness for over an hour on his mobile while he was being chauffeured to his destination.
- The ease of use and deployment for the client is invaluable, especially when used through the "Call Me" page. All the information needed to connect seamlessly is located on an easy to read and understand page with multiple options.
- Meeting/Rooms are easy to create and manage. Having multiple meeting going on at once has become a standard for us and it's because it is so easy to monitor and execute.
- This might be small, but having the ability to place our logo as an image file as the default background on each Icon unit is something that solidifies our name with video conferencing. It's something we want our clients to see and remember.
- Dialing out to ISP and older video conference units like the Polycom systems from the early 2000s that we still run into everywhere. It is next to impossible to connect to a prison system (yes, prison) or older units in Regus locations.
- Moderator control might be something useful. As in a 'blind' moderator that can enter the meeting to check on the connection but without abrasively popping in interrupting the meeting.
- A useful feature might be when someone disables their camera in a connection of 3 or more parites, the view should default to just showing the images of the reaming parties with active cameras. As it stands, if user 3 turns off their camera, user 1 and 2 see a black screen shared on the monitor. If it could just default to viewing just the active screens that would be incredibly useful.
