Overall Satisfaction with McAfee Advanced Threat Defense

McAfee Advanced Threat Defense is used throughout our organization and on every laptop as a defense against online threats and intrusions. For the most part, it runs quietly in the background and many folks do not even know it is on their system and running. It updates automatically and starts when the computer is started so no one forgets to turn it on.
  • Automatic updates.
  • Runs in the background.
  • Can be heavy.
  • Not easy to override.
  • Automatically turning on means no time used starting it or forgotten turn ons.
  • Ease of profile setting saves time.
Zscaler Internet Access is lighter and easier to customize for smaller groups than McAfee Advanced Threat Defense. Personally, I have never called customer support for either product but I have heard that Zscaler has better, more responsive customer service as well. Both have an automatic launch upon boot-up feature and both block threats well.
Personally, I have only called our internal IT team about needing changes to permissions, not McAfee itself, but our IT team can make the changes though it seems to take them longer than I would think it needs to take. As someone who administers a different program, with different permissions, I would feel they should be able to make the exceptions faster and easier.

Do you think Trellix Intelligent Sandbox delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Trellix Intelligent Sandbox's feature set?

Yes

Did Trellix Intelligent Sandbox live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Trellix Intelligent Sandbox go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Trellix Intelligent Sandbox again?

Yes

McAfee Advanced Threat Defense is good for large organizations where there are many users and profiles that all need the same permissions and settings. It provides a fairly seamless experience and is effective at stopping threats with little input from end-users. That being said, if there are many profiles or individuals that all need specific settings, McAfee Advanced Threat Defense does work, just cumbersome.
