We use Microsoft Defender for Cloud to protect our hybrid environment from security risks as well as help us remediate any potential issues

We have a hybrid environment and we are making a push to be cloud based in the near future.
By doing remediations it has greatly reduced threat alerts from occurring. It's hard to estimate percentages but I would say a 35% reduction in alerts.
It reduces the number of security third part apps as Microsoft Defender for Cloud can do many different functions

In my opinion, if you have a cloud or hybrid environment Microsoft Defender for Cloud or a similar product is very necessary to protect the environment.
