Overall Satisfaction with ON24

ON24 is used in a few different areas within R&D. It is primarily used as a tool for training delivery. Training can be for employee development (career oriented) and/or for large priority initiatives or for ongoing internal projects that benefit a wider audience.
  • Training

Pros

  • The delivery is preferable to Webex; there is no interrupting of participants.
  • ON24 is a stable platform that has consistently performed exceedingly well. Issues are usually user-specific which are easily resolved.
  • The metrics are amazing. Our internal customers love the report bundles we send to them after every webcast.
  • PMXD is fantastic, love the team chat and ease for answering questions that come through the Q&A widget.
  • Love the widget selection and customizable console.

Cons

  • Sometimes the Conference Bridge tab on the Control Bar does not show for Presenters (logged in appropriately as Presenters).

  • Ability of platform to handle large initiatives with multiple webcasts and hundreds of participants
  • On Demand link to all registrants is a huge bonus. Streamlines access at any time.

If there is a slide deck, ON24 should be a go-to tool. If more interactive Webex type interactions are required, then Webex may be preferred. This is an untapped area in ON24. Although the Group Chat feature is available, we've never used it as we usually accommodate larger audiences.Sometimes it is a matter of providing information about the platform to potential users; people don't need to talk at once as in a conference call/Webex setting--I've had presenters say that is why they prefer ON24, it filters out the distractions so that the presenters can focus on the content.
