Overall Satisfaction with OpenManage Integration for VMware vCenter
OpenManage Integration for VMware vCenter was being used by our IT department in our ESXi server infrastructure to manage hardware monitoring of the Dell servers running our virtualized environment. Its most important function was planning and implementation of firmware upgrades and patches for the Dell servers running the virtualized environment.

- OpenManage has saved us downtime by allowing us to keep parts of our environment running while doing upgrades
OpenManage is a great utility if you are running Dell hardware in an ESXi environment. A similar product would be Nutanix Acropolis, but it is not a replacement for OpenManage as both are specific to the hypervisor you are running, and OpenManage is specific to Dell hardware. I'm not sure there is an alternative to OpenManage for Dell ESXi environments, but if there is, it would be difficult to be competitive with their cost.
