Overall Satisfaction with Oracle CX Marketing (formerly Oracle Marketing Cloud)

Eloqua is very good with creating multi-step campaigns with personalised messages. It is very easy to create segments that can be used within the campaigns and there is no need to keep checking these. While having a campaign live, it is very easy to see where (potential) customers are in the campaign and how they are responding to emails. As a business, we implement Eloqua for our customers and it helps them get more out of the marketing budget, create compelling emails and only send those leads to Sales that are actually interested and ready to purchase.
  • Clear Campaign canvas that gives a good overview of the different step and, when live, where the different customers are currently standing.
  • Integration with other solutions, the available API's as well as the standard integrations make it easy for us to implement Eloqua and connect it to back-end systems as well as other products within the Marketing Landscape.
  • User management is very solid, giving us the possibility to create very detailed user levels and allowing certain users to only contact a part of the business (for example having contacts from France and Germany in the system and French users having only access to the French contacts and visa versa).
  • The roadmap is a bit long, there are features on there that other solutions have already for years. Standard A/B testing is only possible within single email campaigns and not in the multi-step campaigns, which makes it difficult to roll out your campaign straight away. Often we build a custom A/B test or do a single email campaign first to see which email works better. However, you would want to do constant A/B testing
  • There are still a lot of screens that are 'old'. For standard users, everything is new and shiny, within the back-end (setup etc) there are still a lot of old and outdated screens.
Eloqua works for companies with 10k contacts, but also very good for enterprises with 6million+ contacts. Because of the solid solution for personalisation of emails, each contact is treated personally and will feel valued. Because of the good integration options, it is very easy to connect Eloqua to one of your other products within the Marketing Landscape.
  • Because of the way Eloqua looks, it is very easy for employees to get familiar with the product. With just a few days of training, employees are ready to use the product.
  • At first the implementation cost can be relatively high. However, over time you will see improvements on your ROI and because of the solid lead scoring system, Sales will be busy with only those contacts that are ready to purchase.
With Eloqua you have virtually no limitations on contact count, the program works as good with 10k contact as it does with 1million or above. HubSpot is interesting for the small businesses that are ready to start with Marketing Automation but are not ready yet for a full scale solution such as Eloqua.
Eloqua works best for companies that have a relatively long sales cycle, if it takes a while to convince your potential customer to buy your product, Eloqua will be the best fit on the market. You can set different campaigns and make sure those potential customers are only receiving the emails that are really valuable for them. In case you have a short sales cycle, the features can be a bit overwhelming and I would suggest you look at Oracle Responsys for example, which is the perfect solution in this case.
