Overall Satisfaction with Oracle Eloqua
Eloqua is our email marketing automation tool which is being used across the whole organization. The business problem it addresses is the need to communicate to our database via the email channel.
Pros
- Usability improved a lot this past year - drag & drop capability is significantly better and faster.
- I personally like the campaign canvas with the action buttons and connecting each step with a line to control the process.
- Searching by keyword helps save time for looking up emails, campaigns, and reports.
Cons
- Better reporting/analytics with visualization and easier to create dashboards, charts, etc.
- Include basic metric reports in the Eloqua campaign instead of having to go into Insight. So, being able to export lists of who opened, clicked, opted-out, and bouncedback right from the campaign.
- Create SEED list capabilities so we can easier drop in different people (pre-saved) as needed per campaign.
- Positive impact is that we have an email automation tool and can create, segment, and send an email to our database in a few minutes.
- Negative impact is that there is siloed data in Eloqua that can't be shared with any other teams.
- Negative impact is that we have to create a new SEED list for every single email.
