Overall Satisfaction with Oracle HCM Cloud (including Taleo)

I have assisted with implementing and maintaining Oracle HCM Cloud at two previous clients. HCM Cloud is a robust solution for HR management, with many additional options for recruiting, managing payroll and employee benefits. It is quicker to implement than traditional on-site HR systems and delivers great value.
  • Recruiting and Talent acquisition (Taleo) are very easy to use and feature packed.
  • Benefits and Compensation Workbench add a robust management tool for complex pay and benefits structures and rules.
  • System is efficient and well laid out.
  • Cloud offering is not as flexible in terms of capabilities and extensibility as traditional On-Prem Oracle HR/HCM.
  • Integrations are sound but still maturing and being added to.
  • More focus on hiring and employee programs rather than maintenance and administrative work.
  • New integrations with outside systems such as WMS and budget to align with payroll and employee performance.
Oracle HCM Cloud is more robust and has less issues in my experience in relation to UltiPro. Oracle's traditional HR/HCM module for E-Business Suite has some strengths as does Oracle HCM Cloud depending on the Companies individual needs and processes.
HCM Cloud is a great fit for companies looking to get the application up and running quickly. It is also most suited for companies who can utilize the software as delivered without extensive configurations/extensions/customizations. Organizations who require their HR application to be well tailored to their specific needs and business processes will struggle with not having the ability to extend and customize the application. Also, cloud services are at a disadvantage for capital project-driven sectors such as utilities.
