Overall Satisfaction with PowerDMS
We are using PowerDMS to provide access and control review and revisions across a multi-site healthcare system. It allows all of our offices to access the policies and sends the proper reminders when policies need reviewed. We also set up the work flows so that approval can be automatic.
- PowerDMS allows us to manage a draft and archived revision all in one spot.
- Provides a side by side analysis of changes made.
- Great report running ability.
- When running reports of overdue documents, it does not give the option to not include archived documents.
- When uploading forms, it does not allow general users to download a workable copy of word or excel. This would allow users to use the template.
- It allows for our document control personnel to manage more from their home office and doesn't require someone going to multiple locations to gather signatures and approvals.
I was not part of choosing PowerDMS but I understand it was because DNV could like the standards directly to the software. This was a large factor in why PowerDMS was chosen. Since then I understand that you no longer have the ability to link the standards directly.
