Overall Satisfaction with PowerDMS
My organization utilizes PowerDMS to manage different documents in the organization. The primary use is to manage our department policies. Staff members are able to access/review/sign off on policies in the program, and PowerDMS provides reporting tools for management to track these actions. PowerDMS is also used to provide the same policies to members of our community through the public-facing documents module as an add-on to the software. We also utilize PowerDMS to manage other documents, including but not limited to training bulletins, memos, forms, user guides, and releases.
- Sign-off procedures for policies
- Tracking training
- Managing accreditation documents
- It would be nice to be able to better redact documents in the public-facing add-on
- I would like to see additional features in the mobile version of the software.
- The ability to digitally manage policies has been very valuable in increased opportunity costs. We do not need to chase around and locate paper copies of a manual to make sure that the most recent versions of our documents are available to employees.
- There is also a benefit for making sure you have a robust system to manage implementation and tracking of policies. If there is a need to discipline or terminate an employee due to sever policy violations it is very easy to show historical policy changes and when the employee acknowledged receipt of the policy. The excuse of "I didn't know" doesn't fly.
