Overall Satisfaction with Renaissance Star Assessments

Renaissance Star Assessments are used across our county in schools K-8. We use Star Assessments to measure and track the growth of our students in math and reading. Students are expected to take it at least every nine weeks, sometimes twice a nine weeks to allow for more data points to track struggling students.
  • Ease of testing students
  • Lots of reports available for teachers
  • Increased time limit on math assessments
  • Ease of navigation on teacher dashboard
  • We are able to track students growth as the year goes on.
  • Ease of testing makes it easier to incorporate into lesson plans.
Star has been the only testing and progress monitoring program I have used in my career. I have used other programs that were more fun like Prodigy or IXL Math, but nothing that compares to Renaissance's Star Assessments. Everything is all in one, which makes the use of Star Assessments and other products easier to use.
Our county has tons of support in place for Renaissance. There are multiple training opportunities and continued learning experiences through our instructional facilitators and professional development days. Help can also be found through the Renaissance website. They have helpful FAQ pages with videos and tutorials. They also have a great training program called Renaissance Royals.

Would you buy Renaissance Star Assessments again?

Yes

Renaissance Star Assessments are easy to administer to students. They are also time-efficient, which is always a priority in the classroom. Progress monitoring and tracking are made easy with the reports available to teachers and administration. However, reports are not easy to find or customize from the teacher dashboard in the program.
