we use the IBP to condiuct sales and operations planning as well to sustain the stability of the entire supplz chain. In particular the demand sensing functionality provided us with enormous benefits. Another functionality that has been very helpful was the heuristic functionality in demand planning, in particular for the sales planning in emerging markets

One very practicable example is the demand sensing functionality for sales scenarios in retail due to the fact that in this industry perishable goods are traded.
