Overall Satisfaction with SAP S/4HANA Cloud
I will speak on behalf of our customer who we helped implement SAP S/4HANA Cloud Central Finance HEC. It is currently being used by their Finance and Accounting department. Their GL data is spread across multiple instances of Oracle PeopleSoft. They wanted a common view of their Balance Sheet and P&L data and hence we recommended and implemented SAP S/4HANA Cloud with embedded BPC for Group Reporting.
- The platform is based on the SAP S/4HANA Cloud Database which is ideal to use OLAP and OLTP on one common platform.
- SAP S/4HANA Cloud Central Finance is a great module for big organizations planning to move their legacy systems into SAP S/4HANA Cloud in a phased manner.
- Some modules, such as QM and PM are perhaps not as matured as ECC.
- There is room for improvement for more Fiori Apps to move away from the SAP GUI.
- The Group Reporting helps the CFO get an overall view. We are not live with BPC yet but we look forward.
The Central Finance module with embedded BPC and Disclosure Management suite integrated sounded like a winner. We still think Disclosure Management has room for improvement.
