Overall Satisfaction with SingleStore

We have a lot of queries for analyzing data about student engagement and courses chosen and bought; we need to get future trends by combining our data with the data coming from open sources and bought. Most problems are related to the processing of big volumes of data and presenting it using tableau and power bi dashboards.
  • Scalability on demand.
  • Near real time performance.
  • Easy query profiling.
  • Usability
  • Reliability and Availability.
  • Performance
  • Reduced data management costs.
  • Improved customer experience.
SingleSore can perform transactions and operational analytics together in order to utilize their data and transform their business. SingleStore delivers a database that performs both functions. Before using SingleStore, we had different systems for OLTP queries and for OLAP analyses, and a number of ETL packages to bring data from the OLTP system to Reporting database.
One issue is that files and records are spread out across many locations, making it difficult to retrieve the information you need. For example, we have financial information stored in an accounting database, and customer data is in a customer relationship management (CRM) platform. To derive meaningful insights from our data, we have had to manually cross-reference multiple data sources, which has led to errors and misinformed decisions. There was also a lot of time and money associated with managing scattered information silos, not to mention the wasted effort involved when data is duplicated because employees don’t know that the specific data they need already exists in the system. SingleStore helped us to resolve most of these types of problems by combining all our data in one place.
It seems that SingleStore is good at being able to handle complex queries against large datasets out of the box. In the past, we've had to do quite a bit of manual configuration and database performance tuning, but SingleStore (so far) has seemed to require minimal configuration in this aspect. Both data imports/exports, as well as queries against the data, run very fast.

The most important use case is to load huge files into a distributed database system within a short span of time without having memory and time complexities. Whenever there is a need to transfer data for ETL during the staging phase and data warehousing stage, the load should be transferred without a lot of resource usage. Especially in the cloud space, the lesser we use the resources, the more cost-effective SingleStore is perfect for running data analytics workloads due to how easy it is to get data in & out. The performance and ease of use of the product are almost unmatched, which saves us a tremendous amount of time over having to spin up custom RDS instances for data analytics.
