Overall Satisfaction with SolarWinds Network Performance Monitor

It is used across our entire internal network, to include 4 remote locations. It helps us to identify network problems before they reach the end user. We watch for high pings, network outages, how our failovers are working as well as other items of interest to our "customers" (internal users/employees).
  • Gives snapshot of pings in the network now and an average across a time span
  • Easy to set up
  • Easy to use
  • Nothing that I can currently think of...
  • Positive impact due to catching issues before they became problems. Problems = wasted time and money as employees cannot work.
For us, being able to remotely see at a glance how things are working network wide is critical since we have central repositories of data that everyone needs to be able to access and with this tool we can get on top of items that might cause problems before they can become an outage. Being proactive vs. reactive.
