Overall Satisfaction with Spiff

The sales team uses Spiff to expose the commission breakdown of each sales rep to said sales rep. It allows us to keep a track of what deals we are being paid on, how much we are being paid for these deals, and how close we are to hitting quota.
  • Ease of use.
  • Easy to understand where the numbers come from.
  • A bit more detail around the deals could be useful beyond the total value.
  • It has created more transparency for sales reps.
  • less wasted time on back and forth between reps and sales opps/finance folks.
I have found it easy to use and a person needs very limited training as a sales rep to use it. I cannot speak to Spiff from a sales ops perspective or from a managerial perspective.

Spiff is great for new deal commission tracking. It may be less useful for other types of goal tracking where specifics are needed beyond just high-level figures. For example, on upsell deals, there is potentially more nuance where figures and information are needed beyond total deal size to understand where an account manager's commission is being derived from.
