Overall Satisfaction with Square for Retail

We use Square to checkout in person point of sale. It helps us take card payments with fair transaction fees and makes it very convenient for our customers and users in turn. Not only does Square offer an easy to use physical reader, but the person doing the point of sale transaction can also run the card number using the app.

Stripe is more suited for internet or online order forms and businesses for which it integrates. It works well and same as Square with similar fees. Stripe however does not send a physical card reader by default and is not as large of a company. We chose Square due to the integrations it offers, ease of use, and familiarity clients have with existing card readers to make them more comfortable.

Square for Retail is well suited for any business that needs a point of sale payment system for running credit or debit cards and to make it easier for customers to pay and provide fair transaction fees for the business taking said payment. It is perfect even for Internet based businesses because it integrates with online checkout forms and makes accounting and records very easy, and fees are competitive with other payment leaders in the space such as Stripe.
