Overall Satisfaction with StarWind Virtual SAN

We were needing an HCI setup so we could expand storage as needed without any downtime. Also we needed a setup that was easy to maintain without expensive 40gb switches. The final important feature needed was the ability to replicate to another drive on another host to minimize downtime during a failure, replacement or an upgrade.

Customer support was by far the best part of the experience. From sales to purchase to customer support it is a 10 all across the board.
We selected starwind vsan instead of vmware because of the integrated support they provide for the hardware and the software

Our needs were pretty basic. We needed a 3 node cluster without using switches. Vmware could NOT accommodate this so we looked for an alternative which I am glad we did as Starwind customer support is 10x better than VMware and the vSAN product is near comparable. Only drawback was the lack of encryption and dedup which was not a deal breaker for us luckily as it hit every other mark we needed.
