Overall Satisfaction with Toad for Oracle

Toad for Oracle was used at my previous company to query data from our Oracle data warehouse. Various departments within the information systems department used this tool to report on patient information.
  • Easy to configure. Once I gate the server names and the databases I need, connecting was easy.
  • I was able to do queries and stored procs with no training.
  • I really loved the auto complete feature (I don't like typing).
  • A fixed amount of info can be processed at one time. My queries had a lot of records but if I wanted all the records at one time, it took forever.
Even though it is Toad for Oracle, it can still connect to other databases so I think it is best suited in places that have various database environments as well an Oracle shop. Also I think it is a good app for people who don't have a lot of coding experience.
