Overall Satisfaction with UKG Pro

we use UKG Pro for all our onboarding and payroll. Having everything linked into one system is very helpful so that there is no repeat data entry required.
  • collection of employee personal data
  • Calculatation and processing of employee taxes
  • when rolling out a release, please completely vet the changes before rollout
  • when processing tax payments, be on time so we don't receive late notices and lean notices
  • It would be nice to have the ability to stay within the payroll gateway when running reports so that you don't have to jump around so much
  • no real cost savings that I am aware of, just a shift in work responsibility
  • having the information available for reporting in one spot is good, but our managers never seem to want it in the format that it is provided for in the pre-packaged reports requiring more manual building and manipulation
personally, I prefer ADP as it is more of a payroll-based system that does HRIS, while UKG is more of an HRIS system that does Payroll. That may not make sense to you, but it does to our payroll department.

Because all the hype we were promised during the selection process didn't pan out once we went live. The implementation was poor, we have had several issues with the product, and this last fall release had so many problems. It caused major issues with our General Ledger, and this close to year-end it has been a nightmare. To date, it is still not fixed completely, and bonus calculations are waiting on the resolution
Timesheets. That part I really do love. It makes the employees more accountable which is a major improvement from the honesty system we had prior.
it would be nice if there were easily accessible instructions on how to use the phone app that could be pushed out to managers. We get a lot of people calling needing help with the app, and I just don't have the answers that they are looking for.
