Overall Satisfaction with Veeam Backup & Replication
Veeam Backup & Replication is used daily, weekly and monthly for data backups, file restores and DR. Used for VM and physical server backups.
Pros
- Easy to install.
- Easy to configure and use.
- Easy to upgrade.
- Veeam is the go-to-backup and DR tool period!
Cons
- I have had NO issues with Veeam Backup & Replication in the six years of using this so do not fix what is not broken!
- Veeam Backup & Replication has drastically cut restore time(s).
- Veeam Backup & Replication has drastically improved DR testing.
- Veeam Backup & Replication has provided a cost savings over legacy tape backups.
Veeam Backup & Replication has the wonderful ability to restore not only single files but directories and even full VMs. We had experienced a disaster in recent years and using Veeam Backup & Replication we were able to bring company production back online in minutes.
In the current business environment, we have not done sandbox testing nor had to meet any new compliance requirements.
When originally investigating a replacement for tape I looked at two other solutions but Veeam offered exactly what was needed.
