Overall Satisfaction with Vertex
It is currently used across the organization for our sales tax needs. It assists the POS systems with pulling the correct tax rates, as well as ensure correct sales tax compliance.
- Tax rates
- Some reporting tools are helpful....though that area could absolutely be improved to be more user-friendly
- Return preparation
- Reporting tools could be WAY more user-friendly with better tool names to actually assist a non-computer savvy person to still pull tax data and rate data reports.
- In returns, adjusting, updating and editing fields would be a nice ability to add as currently there are minimal entities to edit and it takes 20 minutes to figure out where they are on every return.
- Has sped up the return preparation process
- Has ensured correct sales tax rates are used
- Process could definitely be simplified more in order to make return preparation quicker

- Looking into using a task tracker
This piece of the software has been most impactful.
