Whova made my first conference going experience a very positive one.

I recently attended the 43rd Annual ADEC conference in St. Louis. Due to the ongoing challenges of the Covid pandemic, I really was not sure what to expect in my first in-person conference-going experience in many years. While the number of in-person attendees was just around 300 people I know due to the amazing technology of the Whova app, there were many other participants attending remotely. The Whova app allowed me to know more about fellow attendees, speakers, and concurrent events than if I only had a flyer. I was able to network with others on a level I never experienced before. Further, as a presenter at the conference, I was able to utilize the Whova app to survey those interested in my topic and engage with them through launching polls and exchanging information via a Q&A section. The Whova app also remained accessible after the conference so we could continue to network and view prerecorded presentations which I otherwise would not have been able to see. My initial concern was the app would be a distraction and keep me from enjoying the conference but it was an incredible asset instead!
