Overall Satisfaction with Yoast Wordpress SEO Plugins
I use Yoast on every website I build and the vast majority of the blogs I write for. Yoast makes it easy to ensure that you're doing everything in your power to optimize for a given keyword (or multiple keywords), as well as cover your bases regarding related onsite SEO best practices. If you have a WordPress blog, you need Yoast. Best of all, the basic plugin is completely free to use!
- Useful readability checker with feedback.
- User-friendly interface for editing meta data.
- Readability checker could get more specific (like Grammarly).
- It's hard to understand the difference between premium plugin offerings (like Yoast SEO Premium versus the WooCommerce SEO plugin).
- Using the free or premium tool can only improve your website SEO process.
- I pay for premium and get some extra useful benefits, including a redirect manager.
There are certainly other useful SEO plugins but it's rare to find one that's also free and this fully featured. Yoast is one of the top 5 WordPress plugins on the market, so you know that it's well supported and that it has staying power, which are important considerations for any WordPress plugin that you may want to use.
