Overall Satisfaction with Ziflow

We use Ziflow to manage review and approval for a small, high-volume creative team. It is a huge help with collecting and handling feedback from multiple stakeholders on design and web files. We're able to manage versions, choose who is a decider and who is just a commenter, and compare previous versions to make sure all feedback was addressed.
  • Allow multiple stakeholders to provide feedback and discuss/resolve within the proof.
  • Highlight the exact spot on the layout or webpage that the feedback applies to.
  • Give a clear finish point and lock the proof after all decisions are in, to avoid late feedback trickling in.
  • We find we can't use Ziflow for slide decks, because our presentation decks need to include speaker notes and Ziflow doesn't allow those to be viewed in the proof. Hopefully that is coming!
  • Likewise, we can't use Ziflow to bring in proofing files from our email platform, Marketo. This is probably the largest miss for us, since we manage major ad hoc and triggered email campaigns every week.
  • Third, the live webpage proofing experience is a little tricky - you need to refresh the page after reading someone's comment, because it freezes up in an odd way. But still so much better than having people review a staging link and try to describe which section of the page they're commenting on.
  • Reviewers spend less time providing feedback and signing off.
  • Creative team members can easily add follow-up questions and can tag people not originally involved in the review if they need quick answers to resolve feedback.
  • Deadline reminders are automated, so everyone keeps to the timeline better.
We move things through more smoothly and with less effort. No need to manually remind people, and there's a clear notification when everyone has completed their review. The fact that the proof locks automatically after all reviewers sign off, has helped us curtail the lagging feedback that sometimes comes in after revisions had begun.
The collaboration features are really helpful--being able to tag and converse with other reviewers or the creative team right within the proof. Speeds up the process and keeps all the conversation in one place.

We're still not quite ready to roll this out to our external clients, because we're working out some of the kinks for ourselves. But I think it's going to be a great win when we're ready for that - a single archive of all feedback from start to finish.

We're also interested in getting Ziflow integrated into our project management system, as time and resources allow that to happen. Right now we need to hop from Ziflow over to the project management platform to mark the task complete and to keep a record that we're done with our review--so that people who don't have a Ziflow account can keep track of the project or look back later on how it went.
