AB Tasty is a SAAS application created for e-marketers that enables them to optimize their website and conversion rate without technical knowledge. They can test several versions of their pages to identify which one has the biggest impact on their business objectives, e.g. click-through rate on a call to action button, add-to-cart rate, global conversion rate of their website.

Chose AB Tasty
AB Tasty is far more affordable than most of them, but with the same functionality and better reporting (reporting looks similar to Optimizely). Monetate requires an agency or a dedicated CRO team to manage and run tests, and is best for large companies with a lot of traffic …
AB Tasty is great, probably the best optimizing tool you can use. Easy, loads of features, great support from CSM. Great variation editor whereas Monetate and VWO don't have a lot of features/widgets. Optimizely is good but again not a lot of capability without a dev. Whereas …
I think AB Tasty is more advanced, has less limitations and helps you get your experimentation programme up and running. It is also very cost efficient in comparison too, making it an ideal choice if a business doesn't have a large amount of budget or is on the start of their …
AB Tasty is the king when it comes to cost/benefit. It is not the cheapest but not the most expensive. It is a very advanced tool and we like the fact of not having to pay extra fees for more advanced features that we may only use for one test. Also, the chat support …
I evaluated VWO, AB Tasty and Kameleoon before making the decision for Dynamic Yield.

Chose Dynamic Yield
I have used VWO before Dynamic Yield. VWO was our testing platform and we had a lot of trouble with it. It was not an "end user" oriented platform and wasn't easy to manage. The advantage of Dynamic Yield over VWO is having all the features in one platform (pop-ups, …
Much more optimization possibilities. Deeper and automatic analysis of tests, product recommendations, email widgets and much more. VWO is the chimpanzee and Dynamic Yield the human.
Dynamic yield has everything you need out of the box where VWO pricing is tiered which can be frustrating. Dynamic yield is solid on personalization and more flexible with what can be done and achieved.
While each of the other platforms may have certain features or aspects that are stronger than Dynamic Yield, Dynamic Yield is certainly the best platform I've used of the ones listed. The ability to do both experimentation and personalization in one platform (and to have a tool …

Dynamic Yield is on a whole different level compared to anything I've tried before. The different types of campaigns you can make with DY covers all your needs. If you can't find a suiting campaign type, or even template, you can use Dynamic Content or Custom code to create …
Dynamic Yield is leaps-and-bounds beyond other platforms when it comes to advanced capabilities. If all you want is to A/B tests two separate landing pages, it is probably overkill. If you want to optimize your customer's digital experience across audience-types, including …
DY can be linked to the product feed allowing use cases that are not possible on a simple testing solution. Also, DY is simple to use for the marketing team, there is no need for technical knowledge to set most of the experiences. To conclude, DY can be used as a CDP with a …
We previously employed Qubit as our personalisation partner - Dynamic Yield have out performed in all areas, but especially; ease of use, simplicity of implementation, account and customer support responsiveness, and price. I have also used Maxymiser, Optimizely and Monetate in …
I have used Visual Website Optimizer previously which was recommended by an agency; they are both similar tools. Though simply on the support factor I feel Dynamic yield is better suited for our business. We have been using the tool now for over two years, and have had a lot of …
VWO was far more flexible than HPO, but more complex testing/analytics were performed with HPO. AB Tasty didn't have as nice a dashboard as VWO but did provide better reporting out of the box
VWO is by far the easiest tool to use among all experimentation tools. It is like the experimentation tool for dummies and works as well as the others. A highlight would be the reports on every test because compared to the others, in VWO is way much easier to understand the …
VWO is more of an entry level tool, unless you purchase the enterprise solution, which includes a lot of additional features including IP targeting, custom attributes and segmentation (which allows you to filter results by a referrer URL, if a visitor clicked on a specific …
VWO is a good middle ground for our clients that want to have a full fledged A/B testing platform at a reasonable price. Some of our clients would like to use a platform that is free of charge (Google Optimize), but we are generally able to steer them away from that and use a …
A/B Tasty tool allows us do easy testing without burdening our limited developer resources all the time. Reports are simple enough to interpret. Support has been excellent and proactive, also the onboarding was successful. It is also an advantage that we have the possibility to drive all our traffic to the test versions rather than being limited to specific user amount per month. We can recommend A/B Tasty for testing purposes, as the platform keeps it’s promises, doesn’t require too much technical knowledge and the support is excellent.
For us, it is well suited for personalization. Since we are hospitality brand, we have different rooms sales inclusion based on different segmentation like Mem or Non-mem, Global or UAE, we have to personalize our landing pages accordingly so that we show the relevant information to relevant audience. The inactivity pop up box and newsletter signup popups work good for us. It does not work well in some scenario like Dynamic Yield offers built-in analytics focused on campaign and test performance, but it’s not a replacement for tools like GA4, Adobe Analytics. It lacks deep funnel tracking or complex reporting capabilities.
It works better for either small or big companies because small companies can start with the free plan which is very decent and has everything they need. Also for big companies who get the best paid plans they get a lot of premium functionalities, the insight module, outstanding reports. But for medium size companies who can only afford the basic paid plan, it may not be the best tool as it is very limited. For example, they cannot analize a/b tests for new and ruturning visitors, neither based on the users device category.
Customer-focused. Over the past year, AB Tasty has worked with us to overcome many obstacles (e.g. tracking hurdles, ITP issues, etc.). The team always finds a solution in a timely manner to ensure we're able to execute on experiments.
Reliability. One of the biggest hurdles earlier this year were the ITP regulations set out by Apple. Over 40% of our ad traffic was Safari users. AB Tasty was using 3rd party cookies but quickly migrated over to a local session storage solution that circumvented the issue.
Provide fantastic support, both in relation to strategy/best practice and troubleshooting.
An easy to use interface, as a user who is relatively new to Dynamic Yield I find that it is an intuitive platform to use.
The ability to segment and drill down on data allows for really specific insights which, whilst not necessarily being leveraged on a testing basis, can be super valuable from a greater marketing perspective.
VWO is pretty easy to implement on websites and doesn't require a heavy technology lift
The VWO interface is pretty intuitive and let's non-technical users make variants for testing
The VWO reporting dashboard is excellent for determining statistical significance and understanding whether differences in conversion rates are meaningful or not
Sometimes the platform is a little glitchy and requires a refresh.
Would be great to be able to see the experiments and projects on a timeline with their status and main result to have an immediate view of ongoing and completed projects.
Email notification for when an experiment reaches a certain confidence level.
Brand templates could need complex CSS/custom code.
We'd like to see a little "i" next to specific labels, which elaborates on what is meant. For example, when I hover over "Dynamic allocation," I get something like "An advanced form of A/B testing where the best-performing variations receive higher traffic."
Jargon (for example, for audience targeting) can be overwhelming for new users; therefore, clearer, user-friendly explanations are needed.
The user interface within VWO does take a bit of time to get used to, especially as it pertains to switching back and forth between tests. When running multiple experiments on a site at a time, a clear and succinct dashboard for everything in one place would be helpful (as opposed to needing to switch between A/B, multivariate, etc).
AB Tasty's tool as well as the support team completely met my goals on A/B Testing. Editing a test is really easy and AB Tasty made the marketing team free to launch nearly any test. Reporting is also easy to set up and give us the information needed to keep improving transformation on landing pages and forms
implementation took a long time but also, DY has really proven that they are transforming and adapting their platform to be more user friendly and the right technology choice for their brand or company
It's great value and we think we've ironed out all the major teething troubles. However, if we experience any more bugs or problems that significantly slow us down then we're seriously considering switching to Optimizely, which I haven't personally tested but have heard great things about from my CRO peers
The tool’s usability is excellent, with a smooth and intuitive interface. It is continuously updated with new features and improvements aimed at enhancing the user experience. Setting up experiments and personalizations is straightforward, thanks to a well-structured process that even less experienced users can easily follow. There are sometimes small issues with the QA section which slows the QA process but it is so much better now compared to 2024.
Setting up strategies, audiences, and experiences is simple and fast. It is incredibly easy to modify the appearance of your site and optimize every aspect with the Dynamic Yield Personalizations. However, while the data visualization on an experience level is easy to modify and analyze, exporting the data in meaningful ways is time consuming.
I gave Visual Website Optimizer a rating of 8 because it is overall a great product to use. Setting up and keeping track of various tests is easy and straight forward. The only reason why this product is not rated higher is because the support documents online leave a lot of room for improvement.
VWO doesn't appear to slow down our website at all, though some customers with adblockers like UBlock Origin have been known to not see entire pages if VWO is making changes to the page at a macro level (background, font, etc). This is rare though.
Support is good, but it would be better if it was quicker or if AB Tasty provided a quicker SLA. At times, you require stuff urgently but AB Tasty support isn't as quick as I personally like it to be.
Overall, the support is very good. If you are a partner (my case), they assign you a customer success manager, that helps a lot. Also, there is a technical person to provide support to the partners, again a great help.
My only "complain" is that with some complex issues, the support may delay in providing you with a solution. Sometimes that can cause some tension with your client.
While their online document support is lacking a simple email to their support team will almost always get responded to the next day. It has however taken more than one email to explain the problem to the support team till they understood the problem. The solution I was given also only half fixed the problem the rest I figured out on my own.
There is a vast amount of training available on their online platform, including their university area of which you can get certified for (and then share this with your connections on platforms such as Linkedin). There is also specific hand created training which can be provided by your customer success manager if that is requested by yourself.
Training was good, just limited to the onboarding process. They walked through all of the steps it takes to get started in VWO and each of the modules, along with giving us ideas for starting our first test. I feel like it could be better if there was a guided process within the VWO program to continue to educate you along the way, and a way to turn that off for experienced users.
Overall, the implementation of VWO is straightforward. If you've got a straightforward way of deploying code to all of your test pages, either a good CMS or a TMS, then implementation should be a breeze. There is no tweaking to be done to the code itself, and once deployed it has the flexibility to cope with different VWO modules (tracking, conversion analysis, session analysis) without modification.
We selected AB Tasty mostly because we got a sense that their dev and customer service teams were going to go above and beyond to help us out. We were right! The cost was also a factor as they came in a small bit lower, but cost wasn't the only factor.
Dynamic Yield provides far more capability and ready-to-go templates for small-medium sized businesses, as well as decent API implementation for businesses who want to have a deeper integration. The ease of implementation and faster time-to-market is why we chose Dynamic Yield.
There are significant differences in each platform when it comes to Optimizely and vwo. From a functionality and performance perspective they each have their pros and cons. It is important to go through the feature sets of each and ensure the solution you select will work specifically with your business objectives and conversion rate optimization goals
The product seems infinitely scalable for our needs (small business) and we've never had any issue with loading VWO-edited elements. I will say, though, that online customers with ad blockers have been known to not see certain VWO elements as their third-party scripts are disabled.
Since we use AB tasty our conversion rates have significantly increased on the Watch pages.
We can report positive comments about the evolutions of our interfaces, from our expert users. And so improved customer satisfaction.
The solution allows us to validate or invalidate without taking major risk while gaining in reactivity, our proposals relook pages.
Commitment rates are much higher, multiplied by 2 or 3, when we implement customizations that are relevant. These customizations are very relevant insofar as we are governed by the seasonality of events as a media site.
Most tests have had a positive impact on either revenue or conversion rate - quite often in double digits.
Dynamic Yield has also helped us to stop some particular initiatives through direct interaction with the customer base via questionnaires or by a test proving negative quicker than rolling out a permanent feature.
