Meta for Business (formerly Facebook for Business) is a search engine marketing solution built to drive sales and increase brand awareness via custom ad creation, ad targeting, and robust analytics.
AdGear Advertiser is good for finding large groups of customers and/or leads to encourage use of software or apps and to trigger usage. Adgear Advertiser may be less suited for targeting within subsets of potential customers, clients, or leads. More attention is needed to improve this aspect or section.
Meta for Business has made a lot of improvements, but a lot of work still needs to be done as far as troubleshooting. I've had ad issues for months. It's probably getting close to a year. Every time I've submitted troubleshooting tickets, they're either slow to respond or don't respond at all. More than five times I've asked for help with getting the ad issues resolved. This included an online meeting (quite a first), emailing them, and even chatting with them. I went as far as multiple submissions of the materials they requested; I'm still at square one.
Geographical targeting - Facebook has the best geographical advert targeting of any social media platform out there. It allows us to target towns and even the smallest districts, in our target locations.
Pricing - At the moment, Facebook is the cheapest social media platform to advertise on, coupled with the fact it is still the largest mainstream social media platform.
Analytics - Facebook for Business provides us with broad and concise analytical data, detailing how each and every of our advert campaigns was received by targeted users. By diving into this provided analytics, we have been able to continuously improve every aspect of our social media advertising campaigns.
Approval of ads and in general customer service sucks. They won't make you feel like a customer. You'll have to be very careful and beg in case they cancel your account (it happened to us once and they were completely mistaken).
Scaling the creation and management of ads was huge room for improvement. The platform is slow and it still misses many massive actions and copying campaigns from one type doesn't let you use the same ads for a different objective... many small management problems that aggregated are not so well.
More visibility on their optimization process, so we can also take advantage of it. Some things are a black box.
Catalog management works fine but still misses many features to make our lives easier.
We have to continue using this tool in order to be effective on this marketing platform. Though there are several changes I wish we could see, the fact is that we will still need to use this product to provide customers with the information they need.
The user interface of AdGear Advertiser does need some work. It is initially easy to set up and use but can get a bit bogged down. Maybe more initial training opportunities might help, as support is not the problem. Again, this will always be situational to a company's specific needs and goals.
I gave it this rating because it is so easy to learn to use and you are able to grow a following quickly by knowing when to post and who to post to or how to get in front of those prospects easily, and using those prospects to reach even further without any additional processes on your end through the sharing from your engaged readers.
AdGear Advertiser provides overall good support in the times it has been needed. We would like a better user interface and maybe better response times, but that is always situational and specific to certain company needs. Response is very thorough when received, so there is little to no need to go back through the process.
I've found the Facebook for Business support to be hit or miss. For billing questions they're timely and helpful. For complex questions about specific services I've often received a longer wait and a less helpful experience. I'm often redirected to their docs, which are often not particularly helpful.
If you don't want to display your feed to your boss before going over scheduled posts for the week, use the Business site and it will be less awkward instantly. Having someone lean over your shoulder is always a bit awkward, you think about how you smell, maybe consider offering them gum because they have bad breath
AdGear was the easiest tech to start on and it was my manager's choice. He enjoyed it though would get frustrated by the UI. I found it easy to use and set up; through lacking meaningful more insights into leads and lead generation to acquire important information when converting to users on the platform.
Facebook stacks up against them in terms of its service. I choose Facebook for Business since I use it for business for almost more than a year now and I need to say this it is the most best possible business tool definitely a must-have for all the businesses type.
Overall positive ROI has been achieved using this platform. You must have a clear understanding of where your CPL maximums are to remain profitable and either optimize to success or pull the plug on campaigns that are bleeding spend.
This is a great platform to build new audiences or grow existing ones.
Building audience segments via pixel tracking is a huge win for this platform.
