BeyondTrust has better support, account managers, an interface, better documentation for using their solution, and more support for rolling out their solution to endpoints (whether Mac or Windows). They also demonstrate a desire to resolve issues quickly rather than consuming …
Bomgar gives us the ability to extend our technical support out to users who are not on campus. This comes in handy when employees have issues with passwords or registration and they need a little assistance. And [BeyondTrust Remote Support (Legacy)] works across many platforms …
BeyondTrust Remote Support is one of the most feature rich remote support systems on the market. It is fast and efficient. It allows our large base of technicians to share our license pool so that we don't have to license every technician individually. I love the ability to …
We came from GoToAssist, which isn't even close to LogMeIn Rescue or Bomgar. The main feature LogMeIn was missing was a Mac agent client. We have many support reps who use Mac's and our HelpDesk is all Mac's. We wanted native clients for those machines.
GoToAssist and TeamViewer - Bomgar was a much easier product to maintain and provided quick and easy access. We also needed something that complied with ISO27001:2013 which means we have to have our support based here onsite and not hosted outside the company.
Bomgar compares favorably to WebEx, GoToAssist and other tools because of it's ease of use and the simple functionality extensions. Users can increase permissions once a support technician who they are comfortable with is securely connected to their computer. They can also …

LogMeln has one-stop solutions and reduces multiple tool needs. Integrations with 3rd party tools like Teams & Outlook.
The price point is better for smaller businesses. We also use GoTo for our phone system and GoTo Meeting so we stuck with the same product for remote support.
Intune does not have remote desktop. Intune also does not do 3rd party patching very well. Manage Engine Desktop Central requires a VPN Client to access the remote clients. It also requires quite a bit of configuration to work well. GoTo Resolve is the most complete tool I …
GoTo Resolve is more reliable compared to some of the others listed. They all have their pros and cons, but GoTo Resolve is more well-rounded for our use case. You will not be disappointed in GoTo Resolve.
Well, GoTo Resolve is one of the best remote services and it is easy to use. I really like it and would recommend it to anybody that would want to have a good remote service to fix computers, servers,s, and other IT devices that need to be fixed remotely.
Generally compared to other softwares we either used full time or evaluated partially the feature set of GoToAssist really attracted us. I don't think any one software (except perhaps LogMeIn) offered everything that GoToAssist did. The pricing was pretty acceptable as well. I …
In the end, we went with GTA because of price and feature balance. Bomgar had more features, specifically session recording, but for twice the cost, we couldn't justify that decision. Skype for Business is included in our MS contract, but it was missing the ability to do …
We were first using GoToMeeting for the remote support. However, it is not build for providing this solution. We then went with GoToAssist since they are by the same company and we like the product as it met our budget and we were happy with the functionality is provided. We …

KACE and Desktop Central have a lot of the same features. Desktop Central was significantly cheaper to implement for our environment.
In our line of work, the ability to provide a seamless and fast forward approach to support is important. It reflects positively on our support staff and teams when we can resolve issues quickly and effectively whether that's on servers, workstations, mobile devices etc. We have found the software to not be as beneficial on Linux Servers.
LogMeIn Resolve has been useful in supporting users working on-site or remotely, and with the unattended agent, allows for a quick and easy way to start a support session. With the integrated Help Desk system, LogMeIn Resolve allows for a seamless support experience without having to bounce from a ticketing platform to a remote support platform, giving us the ability to reduce ticket sprawl and save time overall.
ManageEngine Endpoint Central is very well suited to most kind of patches, updates, and software deployments. It's able to quickly recognize and update third-party software whenever a new security vulnerability is discovered, and it's able to do this for you automatically. The remote connection and management features allow us to begin troubleshooting immediately once a user reports an issue, regardless of whether or not they're working on-campus or from home. A ticket that might have taken a few days to close out now takes no longer than a couple minutes. If you use Mac, the remote connection feature requires the user to allow Endpoint Central through their system's Security/Privacy settings. This step can be difficult for your less tech-savvy users. You can remotely and silently access a computer's task manager, registry, and command prompt, which is incredibly useful. This saves us a ton of time on having to contact the user and schedule a meeting. The only complaints I have about these management features are that the UI is a little bare bones, and it occasionally has minor problems with responsiveness.
Remote access for macOS computers. We support primarily businesses that use Macs and good macOS support is very important.
Maintains logs and screen sharing videos of all sessions. It's peace of mind for us and also helps meet compliance standards that we can tell exactly what happened, every time we access a machine remotely.
Allows for easy management of hundreds of computers in a single app. We support hundreds of computers for dozens of companies. Finding the right computer to access is very easy and able to be done with just a few clicks.
Allows easy, comprehensive access to Apple products via web-based applet. (It does require customer input and cooperation.)
It allows me to resolve issues remotely, most times within minutes instead of hours, without a physical location visit.
It allows the customer to view my activity, giving them peace of mind that nothing untoward occurs during my interaction. I also use the record feature so all sessions are recorded, especially on rare occasions when there is an issue or question from the session.
We set alerts when a devices gets low on disk space. That is automatic and creates a ticket in ME SDP. We are then able to Add space to a VM Desktop, and then go thru ManageEngine Endpoint Central to extend the drives so the entire process can be done without interruption to the end user.
Using the patch scans we can easily see what patches have been installed for all manufacturers not just Microsoft, without having to physically go to the device. It also allows us to choose which patches we want to push out and automate the process so we can be hands off, freeing up out time for other things.
Remote access to devices. This allows us to remotely make changes, not just via remote control but also make registry changes and clean up space without going to the device and without interruption to the end user.
Alerts. We have set up to get email alerts when new hardware is plugged into any computers. This lets us know if someone is bringing in un-authorized equipment (thumb drives, hubs, etc) to better manage what is/is not on our network.
Only issue I really have is the jump client goes to queu when our remote vendors shut down their machine. Works in our favor if we lose our connection but that never happens. And this is such a small issue but had to put something in here.
The user interface is clunky and difficult to use in terms of CRITICAL functions that lie at the core of any remote access solution.
ctrl + key combos are currently terribly implemented and difficult to use - since this is one of the most common keys used in Windows - this presents MASSIVE usability issues that impede my workflow all day every single day.
And now - in a recent development - SHIFT + key combos are currently terribly implemented and difficult to use - since this is one of the most common keys used in Windows - this presents MASSIVE usability issues that impede my workflow all day every single day.
Things like frequently used key combos and shortcuts should work the same via remote access solutions as they do on a hardware keyboard. Anything else is an annoyance and an impediment to workflow and productivity.
The remote CLI/PowerShell interfaces should support tab completion and command history like the real-world versions
Remote control could work better
Having a standalone application, even if just a Java app or something for the remote control/remote command line versus running it out of a web browser
Bomgar has improved the support we have given as an ICT department and improved the ICT department reputation within the organisation. We have had no issues with Bomgar as a product and it works well. The team at Bomgar are also a pleasure to work with, they follow up with us to see how they can help us use more of the features of the system and really take time to get to know their users and how they use the product.
I would say yes, we would definitely renew, everyone likes it in the IT dept, and there are more features we have yet to put to use. I am expanding the Windows update / Endpoint features as I get time, and the remote PowerShell console is unbeatable for me at present when facing remote computers that are not letting create a new remote PSSession.
ManageEngine is considered an excellent product due to its comprehensive suite of solutions for IT management, with ManageEngine Endpoint Central specifically excelling in endpoint management. The platform stands out for its user-friendly interface, robust features, and versatility in addressing diverse IT needs. It offers organizations a centralized solution for endpoint security, patch management, software deployment, and asset management
RemoteSupport has the most modern-looking interface I have seen. Its number of features, both nice to have and necessary, is better than any other competing solution on the market. They also prioritize security, so you can be confident that only the people you want accessing a given endpoint have access because their security can be configured to be role-based or as granular as you want.
We were able to get up and running quickly after our initial implementation, and the monthly feature update webinars are a great way to keep up with new features and how we can use them to our benefit. We can also request features we would like to see in the future, and can vote on other users’ submittals.
I gave this rating because ManageEngine Endpoint Central is reliable, easy to use, and delivers strong value for money. It helps us save time through automation and effectively handles patching, remote support, application management, BitLocker security, and corporate data wipe. Although cloud DLP support is limited, the overall performance and stability fully justify the rating.
As far as uptime is concerned, Since Bomgar creates the Hardware and Software, they can make it the most reliable box in our datacenter, and they also have options for availability and redundancy that we didn't need to utilize, we have a manual fail-over process that we can invoke, but there are configurations that would allow for an automated failover as well.
Usually available without a problem, although sometimes calls get dropped or users sit in empty meeting rooms while waiting for an admin to arrive, while the call is actually going on.
There is no lag-time at all, no matter how many users we have on the box, it is always entirely dependant on the customers internet speed (as we have a very fast connection), that is the only issue I've EVER seen with Bomgar, no matter how many sessions we run the box is always up, always fast, always working.
If you are connected to someone with proper bandwidth, there are no issues at all. With all things, if you connect to someone with dial-up (yes, it still exists), the performance is terrible.
The support team at Bomgar always goes beyond the call of duty. No question seems to little or big for them to handle. They are there with you from the time you initiate a session or call with them until there is a resolution. You get awesome service. Their reps are always friendly and knowledgeable
Ive used their tech support a handful of times, and each time they have been able to help me sort out any hiccups or kinks that arise. They have a resourceful knowledge base, and have experts available for training and troubleshooting. I often recommend them to my other coworkers and colleagues because of the ease of use and security
The immediate chat support is great and very helpful. However, if you need escalated support or have a deeper need that the chat tool can't help with, you will experience significant wait times and slow responses. The time zone difference becomes painful to the point of often just giving up.
we didn't have in-person training because their online training was so overwhelmingly well done. Start by looking at the docs: http://www.bomgar.com/docs/content/index.htm if that alone doesn't answer all your questions, there will be a window that pops up asking if you would like to chat with a sales representative, or a support engineer. Either of them can answer all of your questions as easily as if they were standing there with you, or talking to you on the phone, it is truly the power of Bomgar!
Since we have installed and been running Bomgar software for quite some time now, we have taken the opportunity to attend various web trainings, and they are always very prompt, informative and open to questions/discussions. We appreciate the work that Bomgar does to keep their customer community informed of new features and discussions of further product developments.
It was easy to get going. You have to pick your features to enable disable and then configure any customizations for the enabled features. It could not be easier to get started. The number of options can be a bit overwhelming at first
GoToAssist SeeIt was very easy to implement. As long as your techs have a basic understanding of most remote support tools they will be able to understand this product easily.
It seems that the services offered with the purchase change from what is covered to what is an additional cost. Somethings I thought we had ended up requiring an additional purchase if we wanted to continue using the feature.
When we used Webex our customers often had issues because staff in medical offices don't always have easy access to browse the internet. We could send them an invitation but we would often go round and round with them. With BeyondTrust Remote [Support (Legacy)] we don't have that problem as it allows easy access for these customers.
Go to offer all-in-one functionalities without compromising organizational security and policy. Go-to is versatile compared to other systems like JIRA and is suitable for medium organizations. It has all the support options required. Like web meetings, conversational ticketing, etc., other software does not offer the combination of all, like video calls.
This works great. It is super easy to setup automated patching and the patching actually works. When using Solarwinds, we would have to regularly troubleshoot machines and figure out why they were not patching. This is not the case with ManageEngine Endpoint Central. We have seen a significant decrease in number of troubleshooting hours since moving.
Since the Bomgar Box is BOTH hardware and software, it can be purchased in any capacity deemed necessary, so scalability isn't an issue, Bomgar has the experience necessary to create a design that can support as many customer and agent sessions as you can throw at it. We have never had any issues with the Bomgar box and licenses that we have installed.
LogMeIn Resolve has increased productivity for our support teams with the addition of camera share. Not only are we able to remote into workstations, but with camera share we can utilize end user and customer phones to visually see physical setups to troubleshoot some situations on the fly.
Unattended support now requires the agent to enter in a signature key as an extra layer of security before accessing a device, which further improves the safety of all devices registered for unattended.
We have been able resolve and complete any requests which include things like software deployment or issues that include troubleshooting, much faster and more efficiently. This has had a sharp decrease in our response times and also time it takes to complete these requests or incidents.
The mobile device management features have allowed us to be able to have a much tighter grip on security. This means we have dramtically decreased our device vulnerabilities and risk of data breaches. This has saved us lots of time and money.
The remote features that are available have helped a lot with user's being able to work remotely and allow our organisation to sustain hybrid work. It means user's can still be as productive and IT support is as efficient no matter where the user is working.
