Likelihood to Recommend If you provide services in the healthcare industry to any extent, I'd recommend looking into what they would have to offer. Great questions to ask are: what is the overall cost for this service and what would my ROI be? Would I stand to benefit more as a company if I implemented this platform early on in my business vs. implementing this later on in the development of my company? If yes, when would be the right time to do it and how?

In my experience, problems with them adding incorrect fees to pad their bills coupled with their unethical business practices such as locking you out from accessing your EMR at the drop of a hat prevent me from recommending Kareo to any practice. Reliability is paramount. Kareo's use of unethical business practices (locking you out from your EMR or disabling your EMR all together) can result in a physician being sanctioned by the medical board (inappropriate medical record keeping) or financially destroy a small practice leaving them with NO ACCESS to their ERAs/patient billing accounts etc leads me to NOT reccomend their products or doing business with them.
Read full review Pros They provide training for the different types of ways Carecloud can be used for the benefit of the company. Their support service has been effective and hasty; they have addressed issues at hand and taken steps to troubleshoot and improve their service. They allow for some flexibility with regards to the user interface and allow users to customize their platform as efficiently as possible. Kareo stays up to date on insurance changes which allow for smooth transitions. Kareo asks for feedback and has a place to go and request changes or additions that would make our job easier. I love that you can submit a help ticket or call, if you prefer, with any questions or problems that you may have. They are always very prompt with their follow up. Read full review Cons The program itself shows amazing potential, however, the loading time on some of their functions can take longer than expected. Given that Android has such a hold over the marketplace, I expected them to develop a mobile app for that system as well. As of today, they only have mobile use of their platform on iOS. With regards to the second point, some more functional use of the mobile platform would be improve the use of their services for our company needs. I've spent hours on the phone discussing various issues with regards to data variance between two different source documents within the software. At one point, I could not reconcile the A/R balance on one of the dashboards to the A/R balance pulled from the Excel add-in. Unfortunately, their support teams were not able to help out with this. The Excel add-in falls short in a few key areas. Specifically, they do not provide a simple method of joining data fields from the "charges," "payments," and "transactions" tables. One is left to attempt to join the data sets via VLOOKUP or INDEX(MATCH). At times, we have had issues with the API providing information that would not tie out to figures reported elsewhere within the software. Unfortunately, their support teams were not able to help out with this. Read full review Alternatives Considered Unfortunately, I have not had experience with other products in this line of profession. Be that as it may, I believe Carecloud has a strong product that allows our company to worry less on logistics and more on providing excellent services to our clients. Without this product, the company would spend more time on these tasks and less time on optimizing our service to others.

We are much happier with Kareo than Compulink. The software as a service makes it easy to manage claims from multiple locations when I cannot be on site. The reports and all other aspects I have mentioned as distinct to Kareo. We had a very hard time tracking things with Compulink.

Kareo had an overall low return on investment. Despite the software being active at our company, we were forced to transition to a different solution within 6-months of implementation. The time spent attempting to reconcile the system to itself was rather wasteful. Read full review ScreenShots
