This solution is built for business. They have the back end support and metrics that administrators love and they have the one button to push features that make joining meetings so easy. This solution works for the technical and non-technical and is a great fit for any company. It's also built to be video first so make sure your users are ready for that because it's an important feature that if missed or turned off (which you can do) will just make the solution lose so much of its depth.

Cisco Webex Teams

The tool is great for scenarios such as organising a corporate event where many team members must share their initial ideas, agree on certain details, and update one another on their progress. In this instance, various documents need to be shared among the team - which are then saved in the Webex Teams Space for anyone to refer to at a later stage if needed - designs and themes can be illustrated via a Whiteboard, and video calls to discuss next steps can be conducted from within the tool.This would be less relevant and appropriate for small companies whose teams are based within the same small office location and don't require support around collaboration.

  • Webex was easily accessible throughout the org for meetings - the integration with Outlook was pretty good.
  • Webex did a good job with screen sharing and the standard webconference (non-audio) features.
  • The Webex app was not insignificant. I used it on an iphone as a supplement and it was very useful.

  • Shared content is important for remote classes and is transmitted across Webex Teams well at a high resolution.
  • It is easy to quickly make a new space and add the desired users for breakout room use.
  • We often SIP dial into our Teams spaces with room endpoints such as the SX80 and this works well to include remote students into the lesson.

  • The call me feature doesn’t work sometimes and we have to make attendees physically dial in.
  • The screen share feature sometimes stops working while in the middle of a meeting but the audio still works. There’s no way to reconnect and continue to share the screen.

  • We haven't used WebEx Teams with UCCX. This would be another great thing if UCCX can be used with WebEx Teams.
  • We need more tight integration between Jabber and Cisco WebEx Team so that we can see the rich presence information.

It's extremely easy to learn how to use the WebEx Meetings platform. All attendees have to do is join the meeting and then they'll see the presenters screen. Presenters just have to learn how to share their desktop, documents and videos and how to add additional presenters if need be

It's just easy to speak to someone in Webex support and get answers to your problems. The system is so intuitive a new user becomes an expert by the end of the first call. The help sections answer pretty much everything I have ever asked and only really needed to contact support once which was a seamless interaction.

There are definitely few errors that come up in the app, it's not free from bugs - which has led us to have some contact with support. The support team has always provided us with detailed information to correct the problems presented. That we needed complex implementation that we didn't get tells me 2 things: 1) the product was not designed in a way that "just worked" like some of its peers (Zoom / BlueJeans) and 2) had our company defined actual user needs and validated / verified that they had bought something that matched those, we would have pursued features / designs more closely aligned with what the product actually does: screen share, sometimes video, definitely VOIP audio (always an option regardless of license), and easy recording and retrieval of meetings.

Through many acquisitions, we ended up with a plethora of collaboration tools, and because we were already a large Cisco customer, the total cost when bundled with all of our other services was less than any similar competitor.
