Google Meet, formerly Hangouts Meet, replaces the former Google Hangouts as the company's G Suite integrated web conferencing tool, allowing users to join meetings directly from a Calendar event or email invite from a computer, phone, or conference room. G Suite's Enterprise edition also creates a dial-in phone number for each meeting, as an additional convenience.

Chose Enghouse Vidyo
Vidyo gives all of the competitors a run for their money. Since it works seamlessly, is easy to use, and has a clean UI. Screenshare could benefit from some work, like the ability to share multiple screens from different users at the same time. The search function could be …
Vidyo was acquired for telemedicine utilization, but quickly found the benefits across the organization for every day business needs. The ability to setup and invite external users in has worked flawlessly. The ability to click a link, download the app, and enter a secure room …
Skype and Google Hangouts both need personal accounts in the app before you can connect to the video chat. Zoom, so far, was the most convenient of all because it worked great and quick. I haven't been the one to choose the apps, so I haven't had the chance to weigh in, but I …
Skype is good, but the servers are in the cloud. We have the Vidyo infrastructure on our site. Vidyo can be sold easily because we can directly manage the number of licenses on-premise, With Skype, we need to have a Microsoft subscription and some customers use Linux as their …
We selected Vidyo for its ability to integrate with other software used in the company and the ability to have multiple users without an additional investment. We could pair it with the conference hardware we already had installed at our conference rooms plus every user could …
Vidyo wins when video quality and low bandwidth transmission is a factor. Support for FECC in their soon-to-be-legacy products are also solid; the newer products have some room to grow here.
It does not cut meetings after 40 minutes if you have not subscribed, unlike the other one. The meeting will run as long as possible, enabling you to have a productive meeting with or without a subscription.
Similar to Google Meet, as I said, Teams — I use Zoom, I use… I’m not a fan of Zoom, although it’s cool, really cool. I find Google Meet easy, but Teams, I would say, has many more features than Google Meet. So these are the three platforms I usually work with.
I use Microsoft Teams, but obviously Google Meet is much better than that because there are some challenges which I see as part of this. One of the main pros that I see here is that in Google Meet, whenever you have all those recordings as part of the Google Suite, you have …
It stands out because of its user friendly interface which is quite intuitive and simple to use and its integration with Google work space. Unlike Zoom which comes up with more advanced webinar features. Meet provides ease of use and accessibility. As compared to Microsoft …
Zoom can be defined as a much easier , advanced and accessible version of the Google meet with multiple features such as selective chat enable , polls , emoticons , real time liveboard and calendly integration as well
Because Meet is simple to use, you use it with weaker internet, you can quickly integrate it with your schedule and maintain a controlled meeting frequency. If you use G-suit as a whole, you have more control and integration of the tools, which makes it a lot easier, but …
1) Comparitavely Google meet uses less amount of internet (or mobile data) as compared To Cisco Webex is the main reason for using Google Meet . 2) Moreover, participants need not to ask for permission to join even if they have left the call . They can simply do the same in …
I prefer Zoom, but Google Meet is a good alternative. Zoom is more secure and easier to manage. Zoom has more customization and I trust it more, as too many Google apps get changed without you knowing.
Each product has its own pros and cons for example we cannot use the previously mentioned product for quick meetings because it's a bit complicated than Google hangout means so we tend to rely on each product depending on the scenario/condition that we will be facing, for …
If I was to choose, I would go for MS Teams or Skype as it helps me to keep minutes or other notes and get back to them whenever I need. I am not a huge fan of Zoom however depends on how the organiser sets it up it allows downloading chat/minutes that I personally find very …
Google Meet has almost all the same features that other applications offer, basically you dot need to worry about missing features since you're at the same level. Google meet has a modern design, light application with a very easy UI.
The decision was easy to make, although Google Hangouts Meet, Skype and Zoom met the initial objective, we were inclined to choose Google Hangouts Meet because it not only does a much better job, it is easy to use, it's secure, and guarantees confidentiality in all connections, …
Google Meet is my all-time favorite thanks to its many features and the fact that it is affordable. The software also integrates well with other Google products.
I feel all the other options have a huge list of features. Some of them support host permission sharing, large audience, whiteboards, anonymous participants etc. But the whole point of using Google Meet is the ease of access. With no installation required, it covers almost all …
Webex Meetings has a very old UI and also has connectivity issues most of the time. Google Hangouts Meet is free of cost and on the other hand, Webex meetings are paid and do not offer much in return. Further, it also does not have such features as google hangouts meet.
Well we switched from Zoom because of paying issue. While Google Hangouts Meet is almost free there zoom needs extra charge to long meetings. And Zoom couldn’t meet up our common interests while meeting with foreign clients always. Performing Zoom meetings with phone isn’t …
Vidyo works really well in a company setting as you can make it secure and train employees on how to use the tool. It may not work as well for things like virtual doctor appointments as not everyone is familiar with the tool.
If you have a small team, use Google Meet. If you want to have a weekly check-up, use Google Meet. If you want to do a small hosting of conferences — kind of like a webinar, I would say to be very specific — Google Meet is really, really good. So that’s what my recommendations are.
There is no hand raise feature in a normal account on Google Meet, unlike in Zoom where participants can raise hands in meetings hosted from a normal account.
Having a grid view feature would take Google Meet to another level.
Google Hangouts Meet is easy to use and easy to access. I've experienced very few technical issues compared to other similar software options. It's a little less formal than Microsoft Teams but makes it easy to access other google items such as google drive and google docs. Meeting in hangout gives you an easy-to-use hub to not only meet for planning or team-building purposes but to easily share information that can help you with your meeting goals.
Google Meet is very easy and simple to use. I can schedule a meeting right on my calendar - it literally takes a few seconds. There is no additional app I have to open to schedule anything. Guests can click on the link easily to join any meetings. 10/10!
We have an internal tech team dedicated to setup and troubleshooting of Vidyo. This makes it very easy, because we have access to our own employees for help. Rarely have I or anyone I work with had to escalate something to Vidyo themselves, and we're lucky to have the internal administrators that run the show. Almost like Vidyo is ours and ours alone.
Google does a great job of providing tech support for this product, as it does many others. Similarly, Google has FAQs that cover a large amount of issues faced by users. Problems have not persisted in our use of this product. Problems are resolved quickly and easily, with or without personal Google support.
Vidyo was acquired for telemedicine utilization, but quickly found the benefits across the organization for every day business needs. The ability to setup and invite external users in has worked flawlessly. The ability to click a link, download the app, and enter a secure room cannot be beat. The hassle of having to know someones username or login in order to video call them is a pain. The concept of a hosted room where an invite is sent to anyone's email has been exceptional and easy for even those who are not tech savvy.
It does not cut meetings after 40 minutes if you have not subscribed, unlike the other one. The meeting will run as long as possible, enabling you to have a productive meeting with or without a subscription.
It's allowed for rapid expansion of telemedicine programs within my organization. As a likely future form of every day care, Vidyo has allowed us to bring a revenue generating program that is well suited for success in the future.
Improved partnership with community practices and providers, and allowed my organization to build relationships with other healthcare facilities across the state and beyond. Helping build integrated health information sharing, and bringing our facilities expertise to rural communities in the central US.
Provides our remote patients and families a sense of access to exceptional care. Being able to see and talk to their doctors form the comfort of their home cannot be priced.
Removed high costs associated with flying in candidates for first or even second round interviews.
It's definitely the way that we engage with our customers and each other. So I think it's really good that it can help you bring remote people together and feel like you've met with them online. And then when you meet them in person you're like, this tracks, this definitely coincides with who I saw online. So it definitely is a really good platform to just bring people together, but remotely.
