FinancialForce ERP vs. Infor LN

There are many lacking features so if your company is looking to grow, FinancialForce will not be able to scale along with your company. If your company is already past its growth stage and there aren't too many transactions to record, then FinancialForce may be suited for your company.

Infor ERP LN supports all discrete manufacturing processes including engineer-to-order, configure-to-order, project-based, make-to-order, and make-to-stock. If your company is a process manufacturing company, it may not be the best ERP for you.

• As a global organization, we deal with many languages and some software localizations. Infor ERP LN has 21 language packs and a software localization for the countries where Bray operates that need one (Argentina, Colombia, Chile, Peru, Poland, Russia, and India).
• We need flexibility, versatility, and visibility in our operations and financials. Infor ERP LN delivers most of what Bray needs in a standard ERP system, allowing us to operate without the need for complex software functionality customizations and/or personalizations.
• Infor ERP LN has an easy-to-learn, easy-to-use, user-friendly GUI.

• The revenue recognition module is very basic. The system does not create deferred revenue waterfall schedules.
• FinancialForce does not have a way of handling prepaid items where the expense gets deferred into the future.
• Although FinancialForce can create invoices, there is no way to connect payments to the invoice in an automated fashion. When payments gets entered into the system, they must manually be matched against invoices. It is not good for scalability.

• Infor ERP LN could have a better way of handling single sign-on (SSO) capabilities.
• Infor ERP LN could improve its GUI by not using Java as its platform, using HTML5 instead. I know Infor is already working on it.
• Infor ERP LN could improve the way you can "kill" a user license (needed when trying to disconnect a user without leaving in the background "defunct" processes).

Infinitely better. We are much happier with FinancialForce ERP rather than NetSuite. This allows us so much more flexibility and growth potential. There is a good chance we will use other functionality of FinancialForce in the future to stay within the same ecosystem. We selected FinancialForce ERP mostly because of its compatibility with Salesforce, as that is the hub of our business applications.

• Implementing FinancialForce stalled the growth of the accounting department. Because of the limitations, a lot of manual work had to be done in the systems and many schedules were kept out of the system. Instead of focusing on process improvements or, the accounting team had to do tasks that could have easily been solved with a more sophisticated ERP.
