Nextiva is well suited for monitoring day-to-day employee performance; it accurately tracks who's signed in and for how long; it shows how many breaks are taken (and the numerous reasons why); it shows how long users stay on "unavailable" and also gives weekly breakdowns to make sure employees are in line with company performance metrics.

  • Occasionally there will be brief downtime
  • Sometimes it is hard to tell if data entered during downtime will be added later
  • Inbound calls during an outbound call can cause some confusion

Alternatives Considered

I find the ease of use of Tenfold to be advantageous to all other platforms. It also appears that as future needs change, Tenfold will allow me to continue to structure my workday around Tenfold but use it in different ways that would scale to any changes in my process.

Nextiva is pretty much evenly matched against RingCentral and their phone system; the call quality and voice mail transcription are on par. However, Nextiva's admin portal is more cumbersome to use by comparison and the lack of an SMS feature is a definite drawback considering the communication habits of most people in 2018.

  • This has definitely helped me monitor my own call volumes and helped me learn the best times to connect.
  • Tenfold has also saved me significant time using the 'click-to-dial' feature.
  • I still remain frustrated that some of the integration with Salesforce isn't as seamless as it could (or imi should) be; however overall it's still a valuable addition to my business tools.
